Privacy Notice
This notice explains how MODMEC Technologies, Inc. handles information submitted through modmec.com and used with the MODMEC Generation Profile Simulator.
Effective July 27, 20261. Who controls the information
MODMEC Technologies, Inc., based in Phoenix, Arizona, is the controller of personal information covered by this notice. Privacy requests may be sent to office@modmec.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the services, we may collect:
- business contact details, including company, name and work email;
- project and screening inputs, including location, size, load type, battery status, interconnection limits, delivery windows and notes;
- consent and request records, including submission time, reference number and source page;
- technical and security logs that service providers may process, such as IP address, browser, request time and error data; and
- selected coordinates sent through the simulator when you request annual weather analysis.
- if you allow first-party analytics, anonymous session, page-path and product-interaction events such as simulator runs, selected comparison markets, PDF actions and completed forms. MODMEC's analytics event records do not store IP addresses, full referrer URLs or advertising identifiers.
Please do not submit trade secrets, sensitive personal information or data you are not authorized to share.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to requests, evaluate project fit, prepare or discuss planning work, operate and secure the services, diagnose errors, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable, processing is based on your consent, steps requested before entering a potential business relationship, MODMEC's legitimate interests in operating and protecting its business services, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Simulator data and shared links
Daily simulator inputs are ordinarily calculated in your browser. A shareable result places scenario inputs in the URL; anyone who receives that link can view those inputs. Do not place confidential information in a shared URL.
Annual analysis sends the selected coordinates to MODMEC's server and to the European Commission's PVGIS service to retrieve weather data. Browser print functionality creates the PDF on your device.
6. Service providers and transfers
We may disclose information to providers supporting hosting, database, security and email delivery, as well as professional advisers and authorities when legally required. MODMEC is a U.S. company, so information may be processed in the United States or other countries. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards will be used.
7. Retention
Lead and project-screening records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, typically no longer than 24 months after the last substantive interaction, unless a longer period is needed for an agreement, legal obligation, security investigation or legal claim. Technical logs are retained according to the relevant provider's operational and security schedules. First-party analytics events are ordinarily retained for no longer than 12 months and reported in aggregate where practical.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Send a request to office@modmec.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting.
9. Cookies, security and children
MODMEC does not use advertising trackers. Optional first-party analytics remain disabled unless you select “Allow analytics.” If allowed, a preference cookie remembers that choice for up to 180 days and a short-lived anonymous session cookie supports the conversion funnel across modmec.com and simulator.modmec.com. Selecting “Essential only” keeps analytics disabled. Hosting and security providers may use strictly necessary technologies. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. The services are intended for business users and not for children under 18.
10. Updates
We may update this notice as the services and legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably practical.
This public-beta notice reflects the service configuration as of the effective date. Before adding advertising technology, marketing automation, customer accounts, file uploads or new data providers, MODMEC should update this notice and its operational data map.
